I Love My Job Because

Shelley, a customer, brings her daughter with her to the nursery...

And gives the bucket of peanuts to her and says, "Enjoy."

And then Shelley goes out and shops...

And the daughter remains perfectly content.

A bucket? Really? That looks like something a dairy farmer uses for cow's milk. Ewe! How about a bag next time Mom? Please? No more milk pails for daughter. Even if she is a daughter of the earth.

It is a clean bucket...that has never been used for cows milk.

Do you know that for sure? A little water can clean away a lot of cow do-do. There she is, that poor little girl, down on her knees, feeding from a dirty milk pail. No wonder she doesn't say a word, just eats her nuts. The last time she spoke up they fed her straw for a week. Do the people at child protective services know about this girl?

Yes. I'm absolutely positive. No cow do-do involved with that pail. I think it's former life involved something to do with picking berries and wildflowers. Nothing dangerous.

Yes, you're absolutely positive that child protective services knows about this poor little girl, or yes, you're absolutely positive that just a little water can clean away a lot of cow do-do. Which is it?

The mother goes shopping while her daughter eats from a milk pail all morning. No wonder we have family home evening. You'll never find that in the manual. Never.

Welcome back Dave...

I must remember to never, ever, under any circumstances allow David to see my kids eat.

Oh, and Noelle, the peanuts are my kids' favorite thing about my shopping there.

All I meant by that was that I was absolutely positive about there not being do-do involved with the bucket.

I wondered where Dave went? We also love the peanuts.
