What Were You Doing At 3 AM?

I was standing in the kitchen eating bottled pears.

When you eat dinner at 7:30 PM and what you eat is only a bowl of cereal, if you're still awake at 3 AM chances are you will be hungry.

What were you doing at 6 AM?

I was wide awake, wondering why on earth sleep hates me so much.

What were you doing at 9 AM?

I was wishing I was in Mexico where siestas are perfectly acceptable.

Speaking of Mexico...

I give you a picture...a picture that generally leaves me at a loss of words.

If you feel so inclined, tell me, what do you see when you look at this picture?

You should have called. At 3:00am, I was watching a rerun of Without A Trace... Apparently, sleep hates me too. I like your picture. That man has lived a long tough life.

3 AM the cat woke me up, so I was sorta up.

6 AM finishing up the grocery list so I can go to the store after work and starting breakfast.

Humble living. Tenderness in the woman towards the lamb. It's a great photo.

If things had gone according to plan last night, I would have been eating dark chocolate covered cookies at 3 am. (You can almost always find unhealthy food in a nursing station) Instead, I went home and slept because we were overstaffed.

Way to pick a healthy 3 am snack though. Sorry you and the sandman are on the outs.

feeding the baby, rocking ther baby, showering the baby. Hey - since you and the baby have the same sleep habits why don't you come spend the night? :)

A very long life filled with hard work and satisfaction. None of the distractions that we have every day. Just a desire to work hard and enjoy time with family.

En esa foto yo veo pobreza y tal vez necesidad de amor por parte de otras personas.

Que tengas buen fin de semana.

I am sorry you are not sleeping...I tend to get distracted and my sleep suffers. Sad that we can run on very little sleep as long as we are doing things we want to do, but lack of sleep and work never mix.
The picture is thought provoking: where was it taken, how old is the photo, does she know these people, are they married, is the lamb a pet, is this the only room they have, did they eat dinner, do they sleep, where did they find pepsi in a "tall" glass bottle,... but the real question on my heart...do they know about God and Jesus and the Bible? I am not normally one to ask these questions, because there is always someone better for that, but after the past few sermons I have listened to...I now want to be the person asking those questions.

I see the red cloth hanging on top. It jumped out at me. AND I saw the two empty soda bottles in the corner. Were they trying to hide traces of a romantic evening they might have had?? ;) Wishful thinking..
