Mi Casa es Su Casa

World: Meet My House
(Disclaimer - I have only hung a few pictures)

Inside the front door:
(I'm in love with my green table...and the rug)

The Living Room:
(as soon as Jason gets his way the entertainment center will be replaced by a very large flat screen TV)

The lights that I will NEVER turn on...because how am I supposed to change them when they burn out?

The Kitchen:

The Very Empty Fridge
(sad isn't it?)

Where the table will go...when I get the table

My Bedroom
(Don't mock the bed people. Really. Don't. Mock. It will be remedied soon.)

Part of the walk-in closet:

My very cool bathroom:
(Minus the shower area because I couldn't get a good angle.)

My office:
(with all of my beloved books)

Jason's future office:

One of the bathrooms:

Someday, when I am there longer than just to sleep I will hang my very cool pictures...and maybe put curtains in the windows...and possibly fill the fridge and the pantry.

Visitors are always welcome!

Wow! What a cool house!
And your bed really is funny :) But I'm not mocking, I promise! I just really like the HUGE stuffed dog :)
I'm excited to see the landscape when you get done with it someday!

And I'm glad you found a place for your reception. I'm sure you have more help than you need, but if you need help with the flowers or anything else I would love to be of assistance!

They make poles that have little clasps on the end to change the light bulbs. Don't you ever wander through Home Depot for fun?!?!???

haha my fridge looked like that as of yesterday!

My dear Elise, it's a teddy bear not a dog! :)

Love it! I think its gorgeous, just my style of decorating!
PS-Love the Care Bear in your bedroom. ;))

Love the house. I was going to tell you about the light bulb changing poles at Home Depot but since Anon. already did... And I know about them becuase wandering Home Depot just for fun is one of my favorite past times.

I love your office. I loved it even better when I read the caption and put it with the bathtub photo.

Such a lovely home! You have a really nice decorating style - similar to what we have and like. Can't wait to see more photos!

Amy said...

Yay for you! I love it. And it works out perfectly that you have a spare room and half the closet for future roommate. :)

I heart your green table! And your office, and your living room!
I have one of those lights too and I had no idea about the light bulb changing poles either.

Darling! And I mean that in a really good looking, comfortable way- not a girly, shabby chic darling. (No offense to those who revel in tulle and sparkly accessories)

I'm also having a bit of storage space and bathroom countertop envy. I'm in a home from the 50's where that sort of elbow room is hard to come by.

Welcome home!

Well...that answers my question on how I'm going to change my lights. Thanks people!

Noelle, I think it's time for a trip to Pier 1. I need decorating help and you're the answer.

I had a gold mine in my back yard and didn't even know!

I don't know which I love more, your bathroom or your walk-in closet!

I love your house...I think the entry is perfect, the leather chairs in the living area are great (perfect for conversing), I think there is a pole you can use to change those lights, I adore your "french door" fridge (even if it is empty...just think no odors), the bedroom is is jsut you right now, the master bath and closet...uummm...GorGeous, the book shelves are a dead give away that you are a reader or you have floating shelves and are trying to hold them down, and lastly...I have a table and chairs that will work in your eating area, but it is only a two seater and I live in AL. Let me know when the U-haul is rented! : )

Love the green table! And I especially love how there is just enough room for Jason's clothes in the walk-in closet!

OMG, your house is beautiful. The table and the rug are precious.

Have a nice week.

BTW, I like the tittle of the post.

Noelle, I love your "home" for it is no longer just a house. It has a wonderful feel to it, even through the pictures. You have a lovely touch; I loved your entry table - just what I've been looking for. You will laugh when I tell you what made me cry. First, the fridge: How did you and J ever survive together in NYC? Her fridge was just like yours until she got married. Then your Cabbage Patch doll and Rainbow Care Bear - just like J's! Now for your love of books: They make you a great aunt, but you will be a wonderful mother. J covets my books! Last, I'm so impressed that you have something beautiful, like emu eggs, to put on your table when you do get it. A girl should have priorities like that! You and J did not meet by accident!

I love it! Congratulations!

Thank you for posting pictures of your place...I love it! I love pretty much what everyone else said on their comments (i.e. books, carebear, adorable rug and entry table) but no one, I repeat NO ONE, mentioned what a cute shower curtain you had in your bathroom. I want one just like it! I can't wait to see the home in person. Can I come visit sometime before the wedding?

Platt, (I'll call you that for-ev-er, even when you are a Mrs. Something-else. Do think that will offend Jason. Oh dear me. I hope not.) Anyway, your house is lovely. I especially love the entry way. That is a major commitment, buying your own house. Truly a lovely home.
