That was an adorable story. And I love your drawings.

I, too, was not so careful with boys and their fragile self esteem. Looking back now, I wish I had been more gracious and less eager with my brisk no's.

I tell my girls all the time, that it takes a lot of courage for a boy to ask you out, so if you're not interested, to remember that and treat him with kindness.

Great story. But Rubber Ducks and Peanut Butter Sandwiches??? No wonder it didn't work!

Whew ... I'm thinking things got a little steamy off the page. Hope those weren't permanent markers!!!

Aww the poor guy at least put a lot of effort in. I can't imagine screaming in public like that. You must have good friends to do it with you.

so glad you are back, but feeling sorry for that guy, however, he was not Jason, so....things work out the way they do for a reason. Rock on with your bad markers, Noelle.

That poor loser never had a chance. And if he did, he should NOT have asked a girl out that way. I bet he's still single or one of those strange poligimist dude.

Also, this place that he asked the girl out. Did it happen to be at a Utah school that is not Utah?
