An Update

Our little baby was jumping all over the screen...
That's what we saw when we went to the hospital for another ultrasound today.
And the heartbeat was strong and steady.
As for the bleeding?
They don't know.
They can't see a reason for it.
"Your baby looks good and you're a week farther along than we thought you were.  Just rest and try not to worry."
I took their advice and have spent the afternoon on my bed.
And as an added precaution, I let the boss know that I won't be climbing any more 20' ladders.

My sister-in-law just called.  It was she who suggested I update the blog now ... 'there are people in Asia who need to know the results,' she said.  I'll bet she knew India is a part of Asia.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and kind words.  The baby and I will be on the bed if you need us.

This is my enormous sigh of relief. Partly because there are people in your real life you remind you that the people in your blog life need updates too. Mostly because everything is OK.

Dear Noelle,
I'm so glad to hear your little one is doing good.

I don't recall how many weeks you are, but I had a little bleeding in the first trimester with four of my pregnancies. They said it was a sub-chorionic hemorrhage and would probably be fine with a little bed rest. They also said it was random and wouldn't guarantee a future pregnancy would do the same thing. But four in a row? weird.

I'm so glad you're okay. :)

I got hollered at too for climbing ladders when I was pregnant. Now stop.

Get some rest girl. Good to know baby is doing well.

I am soooo glad I didn't read the post before this one, because I would have been worried, worried sick.

So, bleeding three pregnancies. Three perfectly healthy fat baby girls. That's what I know.

And STAY OFF THOSE LADDERS! CRIPES!

Definitely no more 20' ladders for you. Enjoy, relax and perhaps pamper yourself a little bit. You and the baby deserve it.

Oh, Noelle, I don't know if you knew but I had a miscarriage before I had Owen and it was so hard. I was praying so hard for you that this wouldn't happen to you and I'm so thankful that prayers are heard and answered! Take it easy, nothing is more important than your health and the baby's health! We love you and you are continually in our prayers.

If it makes you feel any better, my daughter bled off and on until the last two months of her pregnancy. :)

I wish I had read this sooner. I was worried. More about your state of mind than anything.
I hope seeing your baby helped some.

Same thing happened to my sister! We also had a miscarriage scare...

Turns out it is very normal, especially with first pregnancies. All those tissues expanding and growing, faster than the body is used to, is going to cause some bleeding.

As long as baby is fine and there's no bleeding around baby, I'm sure you two will be ok!

I'm so glad. Thanks for the update. You've been in my thoughts and prayers {and will continue to be}. Maybe I can bring you and Jason dinner sometime in the next few days? What do you think?

Ok, so clearly I'm not on top of this situation because I had no idea you were bleeding. Glad to hear all is well and your peanut is going to be a jumping bean! Not that it matters, but maybe it might help to alleviate some of your heaviness, but I spotted throughout my entire pregnancy with my daughter. I went to the hospital a lot. And she was always in there flipping me the bird. She liked it so much in there, she stayed for two extra weeks more than she was supposed to. Take care. Stay off of ladders.

So glad things are looking good. Get lots of rest and I'm really glad to hear that you're giving up the ladder climbing. Ladders and vertigo do not mix!
