Boredom

On the slight chance that you have all put your life on pause waiting for Emily...
You can unpause and carry on.
It's going to be a long wait.

We've been here since 9:00 last night but they didn't start doing anything until 1:00 this morning.
And now, at noon, I'm dilated to a ONE!
It was a long night here in room 2317.
At least Jason was able to sleep.

Here's something I've discovered:
No one is writing blogs at 3:00 in the morning.

Hold please...while I breathe through a contraction.

My dad just came to visit.
He was dressed in suit pants, with a white shirt and tie.
He looked very distinguished.
The nurse came in while he was here and I introduced him.
"I thought you must be a doctor from another hospital," she said.

All right, I have nothing to say.
I'll leave you to whatever it is you're doing today.

I'm sure at some point Emily will be born.
Stay tuned...but not too tuned...because like I said, it's going to be a while.

Once Emily is here you'll discover all kinds of things that don't happen at 3am. But every now and then, you'll be feeding her, surfing facebook and you'll find someone else who is up for exactly the same reason you are. BE BEST FRIENDS WITH THIS PERSON. You won't be sorry. :D

Wishing you all the good luck I have!

Poor Noelle! Guess we need to tell God thank you for answering all those "keep Emily put" prayers and turn her loose! Love you, Girlie! You, Jason, and Emily are in my prayers today!

They should at least break your water so you can be less full in that tummy of yours. I keep checking in to see the progress. I guess I will stop for a while. Good luck. Oh and I told Mark last night that you were in the hospital. He said "we should pray for her". Then I looked up and he was kneeling on the bed already. I'm sure there are lots of prayers being said for all of you.

It will happen. She can't stay in there forever!!

Do you need us to start sending you YouTube videos and website links to keep you busy? :) I hope things pick up soon! Waiting is awful, especially for something as mind-blowingly, life-changing as having your first baby!

I am holding my breath. This is the exciting news around. It has been a long wait.

I love you guys!! And that is why it doesn't bother me at all when I find myself holding my breath...again. And really, my laptop is right here so it's easy to check it 48 times since yesterday at noon. I've got a good pattern down: check the blog, say a little prayer, check the blog, say a little prayer...you get the point. Sometimes I have to evaluate the prayer 'cause I surely don't want Heavenly Father to think I'm sounding tooo repetitious...if you know what I mean. And just in case you are wondering what I'm aiming at, it's this: Please know there a about 96 dozens folks out here that, though you don't know who ALL of us are, we care. And we care a TON!! And so does our Heavenly Father. I'm sooo glad that we know that!! Love you guys!!

Aw, I'm a slow laborer, too. No fun! Maybe when this is all over we can collectively smack upside the head anyone who feels like they have to mention their ultra-fast birth stories (really hoping there are none in the comments that may have come before mine, LOL).

Sending you strong uterine vibes!

Hugs.

Now THIS is a dedicated blogger. Blogging while having contractions! Not even I do that. I could blog while my wife has contractions, but I do enjoy my life and living. Good luck!

The first kid was just over 30 hours. Second wasn't much better.
IT will happen .. in fact, I'm sure it probably has. I purposely haven't checked today until just now (11:30 Pacific time) to make sure you had enough time to have done all the business.
Then I figured once you had, you likely were sort of busy with OTHER things ... cause, you know, other things become a priority right after giving birth.
I've thought about you and Emily .. and Jason all day. Hoping and praying things go ok for your little family. Take the time you need and we'll all be here when your ready to face the hoard of emails flooding your in-box.

Breathe. Relax. Have your family time.
Take care hon.
