Wherein Emily Smiles

...these iPhone photos just don't cut it for me...
...but her happiness oozes through the graininess.

She's a sweet bundle of cuteness.

It's been awhile since I checked in. Emily looks amazing, shrinking shunt and all!! I miss my sweet friend.(her parents too!) First, I want to say how much she looks to be simply glowing at home surrounded by love. There is a big difference in her countenance!! Second, your mom is right. You have had one heck of a ride for the last 2 years. (And I don't even know the whole of it!!) Your feelings are completely normal. But, that doesn't make it any easier. I find that forcing the Christmas spirit on myself sometimes helps. Yes, put up a tree, blast Christmas music, make treats, eat the treats you made and give some away too. Watch Christmas movies, read Christmas stories to Emily. But, most of all: pray and read your scriptures or Ensign. Even if it's only for 5 minutes. You need that spiritual food now, more than ever. If you are trying all of this, and you still feel blah, then ask your doc for an anti-depressant. If you've already done that, ask for a higher dose or a different one. It can really help and doesn't have to be forever, but who cares if it does. Remember, you can call me if I can be of any assistance! By the way, nice tape job on Emily's face :)

I am so happy she is home where she belongs and that you can just spend time together.
