A Burning Question

I recently learned that my sister color coordinates her eye shadow to the outfit she is wearing.
Either I am completely hopeless when it comes to fashion and style...
Or she is nuts.

Which is it?

I always wear brown tones because it makes my blue eyes look bluer. IMHO, make-up should be subtle and enhance what you have.

Funny stuff Noelle. As I don't wear eyeshadow I'm not qualified to give a judgement call on this one. Hopelessly nuts?

You can always go with my excuse:
I am a slave to no one, especially fashion.

Or my other one:
There is only one me, and I am the way I am, and that's how God made me, so I like it this way.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you.
I usually just wear neutral eye shadow, so then I dont think it matters, right?

Oh my word! That just cracks me up!! hee hee :) I'm just picturing what shade I should be wearing on my eyes today wearing black and red! I would look like someone punched my lights out if I had to wear matching colours ;0)

I always wear the same color of eyeshadow regardless of my outfit. I'm not brave enough to try other colors if shadow....I'd like too but I'm chicken. So I guess maybe we are both hopeless! I think your beautiful!

Ha Ha! I've worn the same eye shadow combo for a couple years now. Maybe I need to take a lesson from the fab Platt sistas.

I DO THE SAME THING!

...on the days I actually manage to wear eye shadow.

I'm thinking that will completely stop the day I have a baby. Meh... :)

I just wear a basic neutral shadow. I'm all for making it easy!

I've heard different things. To coordinate the color of your shadow to your clothing or to go the complete opposite.
I think I last heard that the opposite one was the most recent fashion trend and to not wear the same shadow as the clothing you are wearing. No offense to your sister though! I still go back and forth between both ways. :)

I don't color coordinate eye shadow, I just wear semi-neutral or whatever I feel like wearing...

Ok, gotta chime in on this one - I DO coordinate to my outfit, but subtly. I have about four or five different eyeshadows combination that I love on me, and the colors of the outfit combined with the coordinating shadows make your eyes POP even more! Does that help??? :)

Ha, today Brandi did her eyeshadow in the form of a rainbow with glitter eye shadow. but only a 12 year old going to her 3 year old niece's birthday party could get away with it.

Your mother taught her well.

I wore eyeshadow for the first time since John was born today. I was proud. You know...because I dug out the ONLY shadow set I have and "applied" it in less than .2 seconds before running out the door to church.

I'm dying to know - WHICH SISTER? (they're all nuts. and awesome.)

I don't wear eye shadow! I barely wear make-up! I remember being appalled by my mother's bright blue eye shadow when I was a teenager and deciding that I would never do that to myself. I haven't either!
